The new Most Wanted is inspired by the 2005 hit, mainly in terms of the theme of chases with the police and going up the so-called „black list”. Despite the identical title, the two games do not have much in common. After the successful remake of one of the first installments of the series – Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, the publisher commissioned Criterion Games (Burnout series) to perform a similar procedure on another popular installment.
